Guys Movie Nights

For many men, the way to their heart is through a movie.  And, “fictional reality illuminates our reality.”

Life comes at us as a story.  Our stories have a beginning, an ending, a host of characters, and a plot.  We have an enemy and we also have a Rescuer.  We live in an epic story where your heart is needed.  It is needed big-time.

We use movies to help illustrate that there is more going on than what we normally see.  Stories help give us insight into our own humanness and into the Large-ness of God.

What we need though, is someone to help interpret what’s going on in our own lives.  We can get some of that by spiritually interpreting what is happening in film.  At our Guys Movie Nights, we introduce the film and some themes to watch for.  At the end, we open the floor up for discussing the themes that present themselves in the movie.   Movie nights bring us back into the larger reality we know that we were originally created for.

So, you are invited to join us each month as we step into…

Helping men see The Gospel and the masculine journey through the films they love…AND through the story that God is telling through their own lives.
